The City of Regina has moved to a Registered Voters List!
Voters are now able to register or update their information online before heading to the polls. No more paper registration forms! Being registered ahead of time makes voting faster. Eligible voters can also register in-person at a poll during the election. In an effort to reduce waste, voter information cards will only be sent by mail if requested by the voter. Update your mailing address and email at the link below.
*In September 2023, City Council approved the use of a registered voters list and authorized the Returning Officer to enter into an Information Sharing Agreement with Elections Saskatchewan in accordance with section 55 of The Local Government Election Act, 2015. Elections Saskatchewan will share their voter registration data with Elections Regina to establish the voter registry list.
How to Register as a Voter
For your convenience, register for both elections at once! Voters can register or update their information on the Elections Saskatchewan website for both the Municipal/School Board Election and the Provincial Election. Being registered ahead of time makes voting faster! Eligible voters can also register in-person at a poll during the election.
If you voted in the last Election, you are already registered in our system. Please ensure your address is accurate and email is updated at the link below to receive your voting details electronically.
Register online by October 8. After October 8, voters will need to fill out a registration form (coming soon) and submit it to the Elections Regina office by email, mail, fax or in person, or simply bring it when voting at the polls.
Ways to Vote

- Mobile Polls (Vote in Residence): Voters who are unable to visit a polling station due to disability or limited mobility can apply to have a representative come to them to cast their vote. Mobile Polls take place Friday, November 1 to Wednesday, November 13. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, October 22.
- Special Polls: Voters in hospitals, senior centres or special care facilities are able to take advantage of our Special Polls stations.
- Mail-in Ballots: All eligible voters have the option to apply to mail in their ballot. Voters can now apply online or by email, mail, fax or in person at the Election Office. Ballots must be received at the Elections Regina Office before 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.
What to Expect at the Polls
Voters will register ahead of time online, in-person, by phone, mail or email, however voters are still able to register and update their information at the poll.
Voters are encouraged to bring their digital Voter Information on their mobile device to the poll or print a copy of their digital Voter Information Card from home to bring to the poll, where an election official will scan your barcode to pull up your name on the voter list. If you don’t have the digital voter information card, elections workers will still be able to pull your name up on the voter list.
Once you arrive at the poll, an election worker will ensure you are on the voter list, verify your ID to your registration details and confirm whether you require a public or separate school ballot. You are eligible to vote for:
1) Mayor, Councillor and either Public School Board Trustee or Separate School Board Trustees; or
2) Mayor and Councillor only*
Once the election worker provides your ballot and secrecy sleeve, your name will be struck from the list to indicate that you have voted.
You may only vote for one candidate in each category unless you are voting for Separate School Board Trustees, in which case you may vote for up to seven candidates.
When you receive the ballot, fill in the oval beside your candidate of choice. Do not mark more than one space in each category unless you are voting for Separate School Board Trustees.
When you are finished marking your ballot, you will first place it in the secrecy sleeve provided to you to ensure all votes are confidential, then insert it into the vote tabulating machine.
*If you have lived in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day but have only owned land in this municipality for at least three consecutive months immediately preceding Election Day and do not reside in this municipality, you are not eligible to vote for a school board trustee.
